Registration procedures:  

Competition rules:  

  • Before the story begins, the topic must be read out

  • Contestants are free to choose costumes and props

  • All contestants must recite, otherwise the score will be affected

  • When reading out the story, parents are not allowed to give any form of instructions to the contestants, otherwise points will be deducted

  • We reserve the right to make the final decision on all competition rules, results and award arrangements

Rules for recording the short film:
  • Each contestant can only submit one short video for the competition
  • The length of the video is less than 3 minutes (must be less than 500MB)
  • The video must be in AVI, MPEG, MOV, WMV or MP4 format
  • The video must not be edited, and the picture and volume must be clear
  • The film can be post-production, such as background, sound effects and other elements that do not affect the participant’s speech
  • ​ Parents are recommended to use mobile phones to shoot

Marking criteria:

Story content  40%  -Fit the theme; clear story structure

Interpretation  40%  -Full understanding of the content of the story; interpretation of emotional expression; accurate use of sounds, such as biting words, voicing, etc.; Intonation strength, severity, tone and other skills

Presentation 20%  -Body language, eye expressions, expressions, clothing and props matching, etc.

Awards:

  • Gold Award:     with a score of 90 or above will receive a Gold Award, a trophy and a certificate

  • Silver Award:     with a score of 80 or above will receive a Silver Award, a trophy and a certificate

  • Bronze Award:     If the score reaches 70 points or above will receive a Bronze Award, a trophy and a certificate

  • Merit Award:   will be awarded to the contestants who have won excellent works, and will receive a certificate

  • The rest of the contestants were awarded certificates of participation

Other conditions:

* All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable
* Late submission of registration forms and works will not be accepted
* All entries must be originally created by the participant, and no plagiarism or ghostwriting is allowed
* Entries must not contain obscene, violent, pornographic, slanderous, unhealthy, insulting elements or any controversial and inappropriate content
* Entries cannot contain commercial or political promotion elements
* All trophies and certificates are printed with the names of the contestant in Chinese, please check the relevant information carefully when you fill up our registration form. Once the trophy and certificate are printed, they cannot be modified. All trophies and awards for online competitions will be delivered by SF Express
* Contestants (including parents and teachers of minor participants) must understand and agree to the rules and regulations of this competition. If a contestant violates any competition rules, the organizer and the judging committee have the right to disqualify them from participating in the competition
*Once registered this competition, it means that the contestants have agreed and authorized us to retain and use their works, photos and videos for educational and promotional purposes in our publications, website and social media sites; the contestants have also agreed and authorized us publishing and announcing the names and relevant information of the winners
* We do not have an appeal system, and the results of this competition is subject to the evaluation of professional judges
* The organizer reserves the right of final interpretation of the general rules and regulations of this competition. If there is any dispute about this event, we reserve the right of final decision, and no objection is accepted

  Notice of Collection of Personal Data and Privacy Policy

* The Association collects, stores and uses personal data in a legal and fair manner. Such data will only be used for the Association's business operations and other related activities.

* The Association will only use the customer's personal data for designated purposes and other purposes agreed by the customer.

* The Association will try to keep the latest and correct customer personal information.

* Personal information will be kept confidential. The Association will respect the privacy of its customers and will never disclose any information to unauthorized persons.
* All on-site competitions will be recorded by the Association through photographs or videos. The photos and videos obtained may be made public for publicity and promotion purposes.

* Notice on Collection of Personal Data Personal data is provided voluntarily by the contestants or their guardians. Each contestant or their guardian agrees that the personal data provided may be used for promotion and related services. The data will also be used by relevant personnel to process the entries, contact and related publicity purposes.
* Entrants have the right to access and correct their personal data in accordance with Sections 18 and 22 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and Principle 6 of Schedule 1. The right of access includes the right to request a copy of the personal data provided by them in the Student Entry Form for this Competition. A fee may be charged for complying with a data access request.
