What traditional Chinese handicrafts are suitable for children to experience?
The "Little Craftsman Training Program" brings everyone into the world of Chinese culture with four fun-filled workshops!
Children transform into cute, cartoon-style artisans, experiencing different professions through observation and hands-on exploration.
Experience the charm of Chinese culture up close and inspire curiosity and love for traditional handicrafts.
Join the "Little Craftsman Training Program" and put ancient wisdom into practice with your own hands.
Feel the joy of craftsman concentration and become a modern craftsman who knows how to play and make things!
Parents can freely choose two activities to participate in. The class incorporates fun games.
This event combines learning with entertainment for children, and all children who attend will be awarded a certificate.
1. Intangible Cultural Heritage Lacquer Fan Activity Highlights: Experience traditional lacquer craftsmanship
Experience the history and aesthetics of "Traditional Lacquer Craftsmanship," a national intangible cultural heritage.
Learn the techniques of interacting lacquer with water and create your own intangible lacquer fan that combines modernity with classical beauty.
Under the guidance of an instructor, young craftsmen can drop their favorite colors into water and use a stirring stick to guide the lacquer liquid into different shapes. Then, they can slowly submerge the fan in the water, shake it, spin it, and lift it up. Using lacquer as a brush and water as ink, with each stroke, the beautiful lacquer colors leave unique marks on the fan surface.
2. Key Points of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Sachet Activity: Learning about Chinese medicinal herbs and the use of scales, experiencing the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine sachet making.
Make your own portable herbal sachet based on herbal recipes.
Explore the ancient wisdom of herbal medicine in making sachets to repel mosquitoes, prevent disease, and regulate the body and mind.
Learn about the effects of common Chinese medicinal herbs and experience how to use a traditional "Chinese medicine scale".
3. Highlights of the Traditional Papermaking Activity: Experience the traditional papermaking technique.
Learn about the origin, scientific principles, and historical evolution of papermaking, one of China's Four Great Inventions.
Experience firsthand the complete process of traditional papermaking, including "material preparation, papermaking, and paper drying".
Create your own unique recycled paper by adding floral embellishments.
4. Traditional Bamboo Wind Chime Activity Highlights: Experience the ancient bamboo weaving craft
Learn about the history of traditional bamboo weaving, learn the basic weaving technique of "pressing and weaving", and train hand-eye coordination and concentration.
Combine traditional bamboo weaving techniques with modern wind chimes and assemble a bamboo wind chime with a natural feel by hand.
